Qualifications

• Trade background with cabling and field fit-off experience.
• Open Cabler Registration with Structured/Coaxial endorsements and relevant security licences.
• ACT WWVP registration or ability to obtain one.
• AGSVA clearance is a bonus for access to secure sites.
• Hands-on installation experience for large-scale security systems.

Responsibilities

• Install high-level security systems including access control, CCTV and intruder alarms.

About the Role:

FS Solutionsis a premier provider of integrated essential services across the ACT and surrounding regions. Due to expanded growth and a number of commercial and Government projects, we are seeking multiple security project technicians to join our Canberra-based team.

In this pivotal role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Project Managers and Supervisors to drive the successful delivery of high-end electronic security installations, across complex commercial, corporate, and Government sites in the ACT region. The role will involve the installation of cabling, support systems, and fit off field equipment for access control doors, alarm, duress, CCTV and intercom devices.

Key Responsibilities

Execute high-level installations of complex access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to track site milestones, manage technical requirements, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Uphold exceptional quality and safety standards across all active project sites.

Installation of cabling and fit off field equipment for access control, alarms, duress, CCTV and intercom systems.

Skills and Experience

Trade Background:Open Cabler Registration (with Structured/Coaxial endorsements), Asbestos Awareness, Working Safely with Asbestos, Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention, and NSW + ACT Security License (or ability to obtain one). AGSVA Clearance is a bonus.

ACT WWVP registration:or the ability to obtain one.

Technical Savvy:Proven background with experience in the installation of large-scale commercial and enterprise security systems – cabling and field fit off.

Installation Knowledge:Hands-on experience with the installation of cabling of access control doors, intruder alarm, duress alarm including field fit off of access control doors, intruder and duress alarm devices, CCTV cameras and intercoms.

Project Mindset:Strong understanding of site plans, and the ability to work constructively with project management teams.

Communication:Excellent communication to supervisors and project managers with a professional approach to problem-solving.
