Job summary

Securitas Australia is seeking a Security Project Manager to lead the implementation, testing, commissioning, and delivery of physical security systems across our APAC client portfolio. You will manage high-profile projects involving access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies in critical infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, security, engineering, or related field; five+ years in project or construction management.
• At least three years deploying physical security systems or security engineering solutions.
• Strong knowledge of access control, intrusion, alarm, and video surveillance systems.
• Experience in datacenters or critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; PSP/CPP/PMP/CSPM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Security Project Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, testing, commissioning, and delivery of physical security systems supporting our client’s global infrastructure portfolio across the APAC region. This role manages high-profile and business-critical projects involving access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, alarm systems, radio communications, and other physical security technologies across datacenters, leased colocation facilities, and other critical infrastructure environments.

Working across multiple concurrent projects, the Security Project Manager partners with architects, engineers, construction managers, security vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with established standards, timelines, budgets, and operational requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Physical Security Systems-Lead the implementation, testing, commissioning, and deployment of physical security systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established security standards.
• Project Management-Oversee multiple security projects across the APAC region, supporting project planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Design & Quality-Review security designs and project documentation, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure consistency, compliance, cost efficiency, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement-Drive process optimisation, automation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and maturity of the physical security program.
• Stakeholder Management-Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, construction teams, vendors, and client representatives and act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic Support-Support incident response activities, represent the client's physical security program, and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve operational performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, security, engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of project or construction management experience, including at least three years managing the deployment of physical security systems or security engineering solutions. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of physical security technologies, including access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance systems.
• Experience implementing and supporting physical security systems throughout construction project lifecycles.
• Experience working within datacenters or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Professional certifications such as PSP, CPP, PMP, or CSPM are preferred.

Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business requirements, and confidently present to customers, senior leaders, and executive audiences

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right to work in Australia.
• A valid passport, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
• Travel may be required domestically and internationally for approximately 25% of the time, occasionally with limited notice.
• Evening or weekend work may also be required during emergencies, critical incidents, or high-priority events.
• Candidates must be willing to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including background investigations and drug screening where applicable.
• The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle sensitive and confidential information, and work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 security environment.
• Regular computer use, data analysis, and report preparation are expected.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required, along with the ability to travel between project locations.
