Secom Australia is seeking a full-time Level 2 Security Officer to work in a warehousing and logistics environment in Sydney. The role involves 8-hour night shifts on a fixed Monday to Friday roster from 22:00 to 06:00, requiring strong access control, vigilance, and professional communication with staff, contractors, visitors and drivers.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen or permanent resident with unrestricted rights to work in Australia (Essential).
• Current WA Security Licence with a Class 1A as a minimum (Essential).
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Previous experience in security, access control, gatehouse operations or similar position.
• Experience in transport, logistics, warehouse or high-volume industrial environment would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Security Officer - Level 2 - Night Shift

Secom Australia are seeking a full-time, Level 2, Security Officer to work in a warehousing and logistics environment.

This role consists of 8-hour night shifts, Monday to Friday 2200 - 0600, on a fixed roster.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong access control skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees, contractors, visitors and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service.
• Preventing unauthorised access.
• Access control for staff, truck drivers, visitors, contractors and preventing unauthorised access to the site.
• Maintain truck and trailer log / register and general security information.
• Issue of keys and access cards as per authorisation protocols.
• General property security checks and checks for general hazards.
• Security (foot) patrols during low activity periods.
• Monitor CCTV on-site.
• Conduct bag cheeks.
• Arming and disarming property security systems.
• Deter, detect, respond to security issues / incidents and complete incident reporting.
• Constantly maintain a professional and courteous demeanour.
• Uphold a clean, neat, and well-groomed corporate appearance at all times.
• Remain calm, professional and decisive when responding to incidents or emergencies.
• Have excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively identify and respond to security incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work the full proposed roster.
• Be confident using computers, electronic reporting systems and security equipment.
• Be physically capable of conducting site patrols and working 12-hour shifts.
