Job summary

Securitas Australia is seeking a dedicated Full-time Security Officer in VIC to join our team. The role focuses on security monitoring, access control, and rapid response to incidents, with rotational day and night shifts.

Candidates should hold a valid Security Licence and demonstrate strong communication, vigilance, and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Training and uniforms are provided as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services in line with site SOPs to protect people and assets.

• Perform access checks, lock/unlock duties, and after-hours escorts as required.
• Respond to incidents following site procedures and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain logs and incident reports; participate in drills and training.

About the role

Due to our continued and rapid growth in the Australian market, Securitas has an exciting position available for a Full time Security Officer to join our business and work for a very well-known global client in VIC.

The Control Room Operator

must be able to deliver an exceptional level of security monitoring, coordination and response. Those with strong situational awareness, communication skills and experience in security systems, coupled with a valid Security Licence, are encouraged to apply.

Shift Timing: Rotational Day and Night Shift- 6AM -6PM & 6PM to 6AM

Pay rate: SSIA Level 5

Key Tasks

• Provide security services in line with site SOPs and customer requirements to protect people, property and assets.
• Monitor CCTV, access-control, intrusion and fire systems, responding to alarms and reporting faults.
• Conduct internal and external patrols, checking perimeters, car parks, loading docks, doors, gates and critical areas.
• Perform authorised access checks, lock/unlock duties, after-hours escorts and vehicle inspections where required.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in line with site procedures, coordinating with security personnel and client stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports and daily activity records.
• Participate in site briefings, emergency drills and ongoing operational training.
