Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking professional Security Officers to deliver high-quality security services in Sydney CBD, maintaining a safe environment through proactive patrols, access control and incident response while engaging with stakeholders.

You will provide frontline security, monitor systems, and respond to incidents with a professional, customer-focused presence. Qualifications include a Security Licence (1A), First Aid and CPR certificates, and police clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have Security Licence (Classification 1A Unarmed Guarding)
• Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years) with current CPR (1 year)
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent observation, problem-solving and reporting abilities
• Confidence using security systems and MS Office
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and security checks
• Perform alarm response and incident management
• Maintain control room and site security operations
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries
• Respond to security breaches and alarms
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination
• Liaise with emergency services when required
• Complete accurate reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations
