Job summary

Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade in Canberra is seeking a Security Clearance Case Manager to coordinate and administer security vetting in line with PSPF. The role requires NV1 clearance and involves case management, QA, and tight deadlines in an office-based setting.

You will liaise with stakeholders, provide clear guidance on clearance outcomes, and contribute to high-quality documentation and processes within the SCV team. This is a 12-month contract with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Undertake security vetting in accordance with the PSPF and DFAT SOPs using a case management system and DFAT systems as necessary.
• Provide sound advice regarding clearance outcomes and be receptive to feedback.
• Assess and manage complex assessment work and prepare relevant documentation to a high standard.
• Manage a QA caseload, including with service providers, aligned to PSPF and DFAT QA standards.
• Work to tight deadlines and appropriately manage shifting priorities and a high tempo of work.
• Undertake other administrative support or security functions, such as inbox management and assessment of change of circumstance forms.
• Work from an office-based location.
