Job summary

Whizdom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Gateway Infrastructure Engineer for a Canberra-based contract role within a national security ICT environment. You will maintain gateway and network infrastructure, deliver secure enterprise platforms, and provide technical guidance across networking, security and cloud platforms.

The role requires APS6 level experience, active Top Secret PV or reactivatable clearance, and willingness to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience across enterprise network, gateway and security infrastructure within complex environments.
• Comfortable across the full infrastructure lifecycle from design to operational support and improvements.
• Knowledge of ASD Information Security Manual and Australian Government security frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gateway and network infrastructure to enable secure and reliable operations.
• Provide technical advice across network architecture, infrastructure design and governance.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, contingency planning and disaster recovery activities.
• Investigate security incidents affecting critical systems and mitigate risks.
