You will contribute to the implementation of network solutions, support infrastructure upgrades and enhancements, assist with contingency and disaster recovery planning, and help investigate security incidents affecting critical systems. The role also involves providing technical advice to stakeholders, identifying infrastructure risks, and supporting the development of secure and resilient network environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading technologies across networking, security, cloud and gateway platforms while contributing to the delivery of important national capabilities.

You will be comfortable working across the full infrastructure lifecycle, from design and implementation through to operational support, security uplift and continuous improvement.

You will also demonstrate experience with:

  • Cisco networking technologies including ACI, Nexus and enterprise routing platforms
  • Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
  • Palo Alto firewalls and intrusion prevention solutions

  • Hybrid cloud and public cloud service integration
  • Network architecture, infrastructure design and technical governance
  • Security incident investigation and risk mitigation activities
  • Developing resilient, secure and highly available infrastructure solutions
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Applicants with experience working within government, defence or other highly secure environments, along with knowledge of the ASD Information Security Manual and Australian Government security frameworks, will be highly regarded.
