Coast Indian Kitchen in Broadbeach is seeking an experienced Chef for a full-time role. You will manage kitchen operations, contribute to menu development, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality across service periods.

The position offers 38 hours per week with a salary of AUD 79,500–82,500 per year. Applicants should have at least one year of relevant experience and Australian qualifications, with a strong focus on consistent guest satisfaction.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and manage the preparation and cooking of food to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
• Assist with menu development, estimate food and labour requirements, and arrange the procurement of ingredients and supplies.
• Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and service to maintain consistency and customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with management, dietitians, and kitchen and front-of-house staff regarding food preparation requirements and service needs.
• Demonstrate culinary techniques and provide guidance on cooking methods and kitchen procedures.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and established standards.
• Promote and enforce food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures within the kitchen.
• Assist with the selection, training, and supervision of kitchen staff when required.
• Apply appropriate food preservation and storage techniques to maintain product quality and minimise waste.
