Job summary

Accor seeks a Full‑Time Kitchen Hand for the Qantas Lounges by Accor at Sydney Airport. Join a friendly, supportive team keeping kitchens clean, service‑ready, and running smoothly behind the scenes.

You will work on dishwashing, basic prep, and help during busy periods, with shifts across mornings, afternoons and weekends. Must have Australian working rights and be ready to contribute to our iconic hospitality brands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience in hospitality or hotel industry preferred.
• Understanding of food safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible shifts including mornings and weekends.
• Australian work rights required.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment and report any issues.
• Keep kitchen, preparation and scullery areas clean and hygienic.
• Handle chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Work across a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and weekends.

We’re looking for a Full‑Time Kitchen Hand to join our friendly and supportive team at the Qantas Lounges by Accor at Sydney Airport. This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchens clean, organised, and service‑ready:
• Washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines.
• Cleaning and maintaining dishwashing equipment and reporting any issues.
• Keeping kitchen, preparation and scullery areas clean and hygienic.
• Ensuring correct handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Working across a rotating roster, including, mornings, afternoons and weekend

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Preferred experience within the hospitality or hotel industry
• Understanding of food safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure
• MUSThave flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoonand weekends
• MUST have full working rights within Australia

Skills:

• Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
• Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
