Job summary

Wests Nelson Bay is seeking a Casual Scullery Attendant to support catering operations, maintaining cleanliness, organisation and efficiency behind the scenes.

The role requires availability across breakfast, lunch and dinner, with peak periods in summer and holidays. Applicants must be able to work Friday/Saturday nights and through busy periods; pre-employment checks apply.

About the Position

Wests Nelson Bay is currently seeking a Casual Scullery Attendant to join our Catering team. This role plays an important part in supporting our kitchen, food outlet and catering operations by ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation and service are maintained behind the scenes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitising crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining clean and organised work areas
• Assisting with service set-up and pack-down
• Clearing and cleaning tables when required
• Sweeping and cleaning floors
• Ensuring waste is disposed of safely and appropriately
• Supporting the Catering team to deliver a high-quality guest experience

This position requires availability across a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts. Availability to work most Friday and Saturday nights is essential. As a hospitality business, our busiest periods occur during summer, school holidays and public holiday periods. Applicants must be available to work throughout these peak trading times.
