Job summary

Mace is seeking an experienced PMO and project controls leader to drive governance, performance, and programme outcomes across projects, hubs, and international teams. You will provide leadership and technical guidance to the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence.

You will implement change management, assess impacts, maintain baselines, and report costs and schedules to leadership, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive PMO and project controls leadership on major construction programmes.
• Expertise in controls frameworks, reporting tools, data analytics.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, risk management and governance.

Responsibilities

The role

Leads the delivery of PMO and project controls services, ensuring effective governance, performance, and programme outcomes. Provides leadership and technical guidance across the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence, supporting collaboration, capability development, and best practice implementation across projects, hubs, and international teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Lead and implement change management processes to support successful programme delivery and governance.
• Assess time and cost impacts of proposed changes, providing insight to support decision-making.
• Maintain programme baselines and ensure alignment across project controls functions.
• Evaluate broader change implications and their effect on programme objectives and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate approved changes and resulting impacts.
• Maintain accurate change records, reporting cost, schedule, and performance updates to leadership.

You’ll need to have:

• Extensive PMO and project controls leadership on major construction programmes and consultancy assignments.
• Expertise in controls frameworks, reporting tools, data analytics and intelligent reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, risk management and programme governance.
• Chartered professional or relevant degree holder with recognised PMO or programme management accreditation.
