Job summary

St Hilda’s School on the Gold Coast seeks an experienced Retail Supervisor to manage the School Uniform Shop for 30 hours a week during term time. You will lead the Retail Coordinator and casual staff, delivering high standards of service to students, parents and staff on site.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will handle stock control, merchandising, supplier liaison, and point-of-sale operations, with a focus on WHS and school ethos. This maternity cover runs Jan–Nov 2027.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ retail experience with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, online sales platforms and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a diverse customer base.
• Alignment with faith-based, girls’ school environment values and ethos.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Uniform Shop and maintain stock levels.
• Lead the Retail Coordinator and casual staff to ensure exceptional service.
• Manage stock, ordering, supplier invoices and stocktakes.
• Operate POS and balance end-of-day takings; assist with sales reporting.
