Job summary

Sydney Catholic Schools is seeking a School Support Officer (Level 4) at Marcellin College Randwick. This part-time, permanent role provides administrative support to students, staff and families in a busy school environment.

You will bring strong communication, organisational and computer skills (MS Office and Google Suite), with a commitment to the Catholic ethos. The role offers pro-rata remuneration and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must have relevant post-secondary qualification in administration, HR, finance or accounting.
  • Experience in administration and strong computer literacy with MS Office/Google Suite.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
  • Knowledge of CiA and Compass preferred or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the school community including students, staff and parents.
  • Handle communications and facilitate daily school operations in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Catholic ethos and contribute to a positive school culture.

About You

As a School Support Officer (Level 4), you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate Marcellin College Randwick's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.

This position is full-time Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm (hours negotiable).

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
  • excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • experience working in administration with advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite) and accuracy and attention to detail
  • experience with CiA and Compass or the ability to learn new systems
  • ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
  • a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal
  • a Certificate III/ IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post‑secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting or equivalent.
