Job summary

Sydney Catholic Schools seeks a Leader of Learning VET/Career Advisor for Marist College Bexley. You will lead VET/Career initiatives within a Catholic learning environment, while maintaining a full-time teaching position. The role is a 2-point promotional, temporary appointment up to 3 years.

You will bring expertise in VET and Careers, strong classroom management, and a commitment to inclusive, rigorous learning. WWCC clearance is required and ongoing professional development is supported.

• Tertiary Qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
• Religious Education qualifications or willingness to achieve them per Accreditation Policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspire students through engaging, student-centred teaching in a Catholic environment.
• Drive VET/Career guidance as a 2-point promotional, temporary role (up to 3 years) while maintaining full-time, permanent teaching duties.
• Collaborate with staff to integrate career education across learning areas.
• Ensure compliance with WWCC and SDA/Policy requirements.

About You

As a Leader of Learning VET/Career Advisor, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 2-point promotional role, (3-point release) temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You'll bring:

• expertise in Vocation Education Training (VET) and Careers, with additional teaching areas advantageous
• strong classroom management and student well-being focus
• ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
