Job summary

School Psychologist at Leeton High School provides counselling and psychological assessment to students, collaborating with teachers and families to support learning and wellbeing. The role offers supervision and opportunities to work across primary and high schools, enabling impact on student outcomes.

Based at Leeton High School, you’ll engage with a diverse student population, including Aboriginal and EAL/D learners, and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary team within NSW Department

Qualifications

• Counselling and psychological assessment of students.
• Experience collaborating with teachers, families and external agencies.
• Ability to support students with behavioural and learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups.
• Engages with the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborates with school leadership and other support services to improve wellbeing and learning outcomes.
• Contributes to the social, emotional and academic development of students.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Works with parents, carers and agencies to build school-based support.
• Participates in supervision and professional development as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Supports compliance with regulatory requirements and department policies.
