Job summary

Young High School in regional NSW is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to join the Department of Education’s counselling team. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments to students across primary and high school levels, supporting learning and wellbeing while collaborating with teachers and families.

Based at Young High School, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, have access to supervision, professional development, and a range of leave types and health

Qualifications

• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance in NSW.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between work sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Collaborates with school communities, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Engages in supervision and professional development within a multidisciplinary team.
• Responds to incidents as part of a school counselling service team.
• Contributes to strategies to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
