Narrandera High School in the Riverina region is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to join the Department of Education’s counselling team. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments to students across primary and high school ages, supporting teachers to enhance learning and wellbeing outcomes.

The role offers professional supervision, opportunities for cross-school collaboration, and involvement in ongoing professional development.

Formación

• Knowledge of and commitment to Aboriginal Education Policy and related NSW strategies.
• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC) – NSW.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between work sites within NSW.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsabilidades

• Provide counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups.
• Engage with and implement the Professional Practice Framework for NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborate with school leadership, staff and support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Contribute to the social, emotional, and academic development of students, including those with complex needs.
• Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and report results.
• Work with parents, carers and external agencies to support student health and wellbeing.
• Respond to schools experiencing serious incidents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Refer students and families to appropriate external supports where needed.
