Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Psychologist for Dubbo College South Campus. The role delivers counselling and psychological assessments across primary and high schools, contributing to student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, engaging with communities and external agencies to provide holistic support, supervision, and professional development opportunities in a large public-school setting.

Qualifications

• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance — NSW.
• Current and valid driver’s licence with ability to travel between sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments of students.
• Collaborates with school staff, parents and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Develops appropriate school-based supports for students with complex behavioural needs.
• Works with the counselling team to implement the Professional Practice Framework for NSW School Counselling Service.
• Responds as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
• Refers students and/or families to other services to support health and wellbeing.
