Job summary

NSW Government is seeking a School Counsellor for Monaro High School, based in Cooma, NSW. The role involves delivering counselling and psychological support to students to enhance learning and wellbeing, alongside collaboration with school communities and external agencies.

You will participate in supervision, contribute to professional development and help students across Year 7–12 with diverse needs. Extensive travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including reports.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment to students to support learning and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to implement supports.
• Engage in supervision with Senior Psychologist Education and participate in district school counselling team.
