Job summary

Randstad's aged care client in the City Fringe seeks a part-time Scheduling Officer to coordinate home care services and maintain accurate operational data. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service and reliable scheduling in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates will have home care scheduling experience, proficiency in MS Office and rostering software, and strong analytical and communication skills. A current National Police Clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Proven home care scheduling experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MSOffice products and rostering software.
  • Experience in a high paced scheduling/administrative role in a medium to large organisation.
  • Highly developed prioritisation skills to manage workload.
  • Strong analytical skills to manipulate and present data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Privide excellent customer service to build genuine, respectful partnerships with clients and their supporters
  • Actively listen to and understand customers' perspectives, preferences, goals
  • Promote and encourage client and representative feedback regarding care and services
  • Provide a prompt, courteous, responsive and flexible service to all clients and staff in a professional manner
  • Proactively manage scheduling adjustments by identifying and assigning suitable replacement staff when changes arise
  • Consider factors such as staff fatigue and travel time between services when scheduling to promote a safe, efficient, and sustainable workforce
  • Promptly escalation any potential workforce shortages to the Operations Support Lead for timely resolution
  • Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of staff rosters
  • Manage and maintain rostering and client management systems to improve customer service and deliver best practice services
  • Effectively communicate schedules to employees and clients ensuring clarity and addressing any concerns or conflicts
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth team operations.

Job description

My Aged Care client based in the City Fringe has a part time opportunity for an experienced Scheduling Officer to assist their high performing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling vital home care services, and maintaining accurate operational data and communications. Ideally you will have experience working in a similar position within the Aged Care industry with a firm understanding of the services needed.

Your Responsibilities Include:
  • Privide excellent customer service to build genuine, respectful partnerships with clients and their supporters

Ideally you will have:
  • Proven home care scheduling experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MSOffice products and specifically in rostering software packages
  • Demonstrated experience in a high paced scheduling/administrative role within a medium to large sized organisation focusing on delivering quality services.
  • Highly developed prioritisation skills with a proven ability to manage workload in order to achieve business outcomes
  • Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse raw data and present the analysis in an appropriate manner
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively resolve scheduling conflicts and respond to staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills
  • A current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
