Job summary

ARC - The Australian Reinforcing Company in Newcastle is seeking a Scheduler to support reinforcing steel scheduling across multiple construction projects. You will interpret drawings, coordinate production requirements and ensure on-time delivery while managing competing priorities and maintaining WHS compliance.

This full-time role offers training and a supportive branch environment, with standard Monday–Friday hours and flexibility to meet deadlines, based in Newcastle.

Qualifications

• Practical reo knowledge highly regarded, ideally from site work, installation oversight or scheduling exposure.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and manage competing project deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communication across customers, production, sales and operations, with flexibility when project needs require it.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to ARMA or ASA software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer requirements with Sales, Production and Operations to schedule reinforcing steel orders accurately and on time.
• Interpret structural drawings and generate bar cutting and bending lists.
• Manage customer enquiries, updates, drawings, lead times and production schedules.
• Balance multiple projects and delivery deadlines while keeping customers and internal teams aligned.
• Maintain a strong focus on WHS and compliance across scheduling activities.

ARC are looking for a Scheduler to join our Newcastle branch. In this role, you will support the supply of reinforcing steel across multiple construction projects, working closely with customers and internal teams to interpret drawings, coordinate production requirements and ensure accurate, on-time delivery. This is a role for someone who can manage competing priorities, build strong relationships and bring a practical understanding of reinforcing steel or scheduling within construction.

Core hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:00pm, with some flexibility when required to meet customer and project deadlines.

What you will be doing:

• Coordinate customer requirements with Sales, Production and Operations to schedule reinforcing steel orders accurately and on time.
• Interpret structural drawings and generate bar cutting and bending lists.
• Manage customer enquiries, updates, drawings, lead times and production schedules.
• Balance multiple projects and delivery deadlines while keeping customers and internal teams aligned.
• Maintain a strong focus on WHS and compliance across scheduling activities.
