Job summary

Ploomo in Melbourne is seeking a strategic People & Culture Manager to own HR end to end as the company scales from 30 to 80+ and expands internationally. You will build foundational HRIS, policies and processes, and lead senior hires across Australia, the US, the UK and Asia.

This part-time, hybrid role reports to the Chief People Officer, with a small team and significant influence at board level. You will design scalable people practices, drive talent development and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building HR in startups or scale-ups during growth.
• Experience supporting people outside Australia or with EORs/offshore teams.
• Hands-on implementation of systems, policies and processes.
• Strong recruitment experience, including senior roles.
• Ability to handle complex employee relations calmly and professionally.
• Willingness to challenge leadership when appropriate and with good judgement.
• Tech, SaaS, media or digital domain experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Own BAU and operational HR delivery across a multi-entity business.
• Advise leaders on complex employee and industrial relations matters, managing risk.
• Support enterprise bargaining across multiple agreements and build capability.
• Coach managers on performance, conduct and policy interpretation.
• Lead key projects on talent uplift, HR tech reviews and EBA renewals.
• Produce workforce reporting and insights for the executive team.
