Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a SCADA Configuration & Test Engineer Level 3 to design, configure and test SCADA/RTU/PLC solutions for critical infrastructure. You will enhance HMI screens, telemetry configurations and lead system integration and commissioning activities.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics/CS/Mechatronics/Control Engineering, hands-on SCADA experience, RTU/PLC familiarity and strong problem-solving. Hybrid work from Parramatta with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in Electrical, Electronics, CS, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or related.
Hands-on experience with SCADA, telemetry, and control systems including HMI development.
Exposure to RTU and/or PLC programming, testing and commissioning.
Strong problem-solving with ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Understanding telemetry communications, networks and industry protocols.
Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with Geo SCADA Expert will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and deploy SCADA, RTU, and PLC solutions for critical operations.
Develop and enhance HMI screens and telemetry configurations.
Lead and participate in system integration, testing, commissioning and cutover activities.
Analyse operational data to improve asset performance and efficiency.
Collaborate across teams to deliver OT solutions and continuous improvement.
