u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced SAP Payroll Specialist for an ongoing contract across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on SAP payroll configuration, compliance, and continuous improvement in a high-pressure environment.

You will cover BAU support, project delivery, testing, and legislative changes, collaborating with HR, IT, and external vendors to deliver compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SAP Payroll in a large, complex environment.
• Strong SAP payroll configuration knowledge (schemas, PCRs, wage types, pay elements).
• Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (STP, tax, super).
• Exposure to New Zealand payroll is advantageous.
• Experience with testing, defect resolution and payroll system changes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP Payroll BAU support, project delivery and enhancements.
• Assess and implement payroll configuration changes (wage types, schemas, rules).
• Interpret Awards and Fair Work into system solutions.
• Support annual payroll cycles including STP updates and year-end processing.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex payroll defects.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, IR, IT and vendors for compliant outcomes.
• Develop and maintain functional docs and test scripts.
• Ensure changes are tested and audit-ready.
