Downer is seeking a Payroll Systems Specialist - SAP to sustain accurate, compliant payroll systems across Australia and New Zealand. You will translate legislation into system outcomes and advise on governance, risk, and project delivery.

Expect close engagement with Payroll, People Services, IR, Technology, and vendors to drive improvements. You will lead testing, manage changes, and resolve complex payroll issues, ensuring successful implementations while aligning to regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Payroll and Quintiq in a large and complex payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of AU/NZ payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting payroll systems projects, configuration changes, testing, and release management.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist SAP and Quintiq payroll systems expertise and advise stakeholders.
• Assess, analyse, and support payroll system changes including time data, pay elements, deductions, and taxation impacts.
• Interpret AU/NZ payroll legislation and translate requirements into system, testing, and process outcomes.
• Collaborate with payroll, IR, technology, testing, vendors and project stakeholders to deliver enhancements and compliance initiatives.
• Lead or support testing activities, validate payroll outcomes, and ensure production readiness for changes.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll system issues and discrepancies through root-cause analysis.
• Support governance, risk management, audit, and documentation controls.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement for payroll accuracy, efficiency, and system performance.
