Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Receipt Officer in Stafford to support the Environmental Division and help ensure accurate handling of samples from intake to lab processing. You will verify documentation, sort and label samples, and coordinate deliveries to keep the laboratory running efficiently.

This fast-paced role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety. You’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to manage submissions and maintain records,

Responsibilities

• Receive clients’ deliveries and confirm samples meet testing requirements.
• Process incoming sample deliveries into the laboratory including the sorting and labelling of samples.
• Read and understand client documentation.
• Organise and follow up of freight pick-ups for internal and interstate samples.
• Liaising with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions.
• Maintaining filing systems and documentation.
• Maintaining an excellent standard of occupational health and safety.
