Job summary

Emmetts is seeking an experienced agricultural sales professional to grow our customer base across Cummins and the Eyre Peninsula region, representing John Deere machinery and precision ag solutions. Based from the Cummins branch, you will join an established sales team serving broadacre farming customers.

You’ll build trusted relationships with growers, manage a territory, and drive sales through proactive business development and outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in agriculture, machinery or broadacre farming.
• Strong understanding of agricultural customers and farm operations.
• Able to initiate conversations and create opportunities in regional markets.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a strong sales pipeline across Cummins and Eyre Peninsula region.
• Develop and manage relationships with existing customers while prospecting for new accounts.
• Promote and sell John Deere machinery and precision ag solutions.

Are you an experienced agricultural sales professional who understands broadacre farming and knows how to build trusted relationships across regional communities?

We’re looking for a motivated Sales Representative to grow our customer base across the Cummins and wider Eyre Peninsula region, representing our leading range of John Deere agricultural machinery and precision ag solutions.

Based from our flagship Cummins branch, this is a great opportunity to join an experienced sales team, work with progressive broadacre farming customers, and build a rewarding career with an industry leader that backs its people to succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Build and grow a strong sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities across Cummins and the wider Eyre Peninsula region
• Manage and develop existing customer relationships while actively prospecting for new customers across broadacre farming communities
• Promote and sell the latest John Deere machinery and precision ag solutions
• Understand customer needs and provide practical solutions that improve productivity, efficiency and performance on-farm
• Own your territory, follow up leads, and drive sales activity with energy and discipline
• Achieve sales targets through proactive business development, strong relationship management and exceptional customer service

What You’ll Bring

• Proven sales experience, ideally within the agriculture, machinery, equipment or broadacre farming sector
• A strong understanding of agricultural customers and the ability to build credibility with growers and farming businesses
• A proactive, competitive mindset with the confidence to start conversations and create opportunities
• Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport quickly
• Self-motivation, discipline and resilience to manage a territory and follow through
• Confidence in identifying customer needs and turning them into practical machinery and technology solutions
• Current driver’s license with willingness to travel regionally as required
