Job description

Help create the next generation of play spaces

Playconnect is a growing Australian playground supply and consultancy business specialising in innovative indoor and outdoor play environments.

We work with pubs and clubs, hotels, shopping centres, schools, early learning providers and family entertainment venues to deliver projects ranging from small playground upgrades through to large, custom-designed recreational spaces.

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Sales Representative who can build strong relationships, uncover new opportunities and guide clients from their initial enquiry through to a successful project.

This is a hands-on, project-based sales role suited to someone who enjoys chasing opportunities, meeting clients and selling creative solutions—not simply processing orders.

About the role

Working closely with our design, production and project teams, you will develop new business while managing incoming sales opportunities.

You will take the time to understand each client’s site, budget and objectives before helping develop a suitable playground or recreational solution.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Managing incoming leads and maintaining consistent follow‑up
  • Building relationships across hospitality, education, early learning, property and entertainment sectors
  • Contacting prospective clients through phone, email, networking and face-to-face meetings
  • Attending client sites to discuss project requirements
  • Reviewing plans, briefs, site information and client objectives
  • Working with our design team to develop playground concepts
  • Preparing and presenting quotations, proposals and concept packages
  • Managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award
  • Negotiating commercial terms within approved parameters
  • Maintaining accurate sales activities, opportunities and forecasts within our CRM (Hub Spot)
  • Developing repeat business from existing clients and industry contacts
  • Representing Playconnect at industry events, exhibitions and client meetings
  • Completing occasional interstate travel when required
About you

You are proactive, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of your sales pipeline. You understand that successful sales come from consistent follow‑up, genuine relationships and a willingness to ask for the business.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
  • The confidence to develop new business and approach prospective clients
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent organisation and follow‑up
  • The ability to understand client requirements and translate them into practical solutions
  • Commercial awareness and confidence discussing project budgets
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities with different timeframes
  • Competence using Microsoft Office and CRM (Hub Spot) systems
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team
  • A current Australian driver license

Experience in playgrounds, recreation, construction, commercial interiors or project‑based sales would be highly regarded. However, industry knowledge can be taught to the right person with strong sales ability, initiative and a willingness to learn.

What we offer
  • A varied sales role involving creative and highly visual projects
  • An established product range supported by experienced industry professionals
  • Access to internal design and project support
  • The opportunity to develop business across multiple market sectors
  • A supportive, practical and fast‑moving working environment
  • Autonomy to manage and grow your own sales pipeline
  • Competitive salary package based on experience
  • Genuine opportunities to grow as Playconnect expands
About Playconnect

Our team brings more than 25 years of playground industry experience, combining practical knowledge with fresh ideas to create safer, more engaging and commercially successful play spaces.
