Job summary

The Distributors Brisbane is seeking a Sales Representative to own and develop the Brisbane city territory. You will nurture existing customers, win new business and help retailers maximise shelf potential.

You’ll spend your days visiting stores, spotting opportunities, and promoting well-known brands with the support of an experienced team. A competitive salary with bonuses and company car is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or territory sales preferred.
• Current driver’s licence and comfortable using an iPad and sales systems.

The Distributors Brisbane is looking for a Sales Representative to take ownership of our Brisbane city territory. You’ll build on existing customer relationships, win new business and help retailers get more from their shelves.

We’re an independently owned wholesale business supplying confectionery, snacks, drinks and grocery products to more than 3,500 customers across South East Queensland. With around 5,000 products in our range, you’ll have plenty of reasons to start a conversation.

Your territory. Your relationships. Your results.

You’ll spend your days out visiting customers, understanding their businesses and finding opportunities to grow together. That means:

Building relationships with store owners and decision makers.

Bringing customers relevant products, promotions and ideas that suit their store.

Spotting gaps in their range and giving them a clear reason to try something new.

Finding and winning new customers within your territory.

Planning your call cycle, following up opportunities and working towards sales and profit targets.

Keeping an eye on what’s happening on the shelves, including presentation, stock rotation and opportunities to improve sales.

What will help you succeed

You’re comfortable walking into a business, starting a conversation and asking for the sale. You listen, remember the details and do what you say you’ll do.

You also know that a good day on the road starts with a plan. You can manage your time, use sales information to decide where to focus and keep moving when the first answer is no.

FMCG or territory sales experience would be great. Experience in retail, convenience or wholesale could also give you a strong starting point.

You’ll need a current driver’s licence and confidence using an iPad and sales systems.
