Job summary

Randstad, a Queanbeyan-based company, is seeking a Sales and Operations Manager to bridge sales and internal logistics, drive new business via research and outreach, manage the quoting process, and provide operational oversight to ensure the sales team meets objectives.

In a fire safety sector environment, the successful candidate will handle high-volume administrative tasks with accountability across the sales department and lead a capable team toward growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive new business and opportunities in construction/building materials or trade services.
• Experience leading a sales team and managing cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new business opportunities and grow revenue with existing customers.
• Initiate contact with key decision-makers and secure formal appointments.
• Manage the full lifecycle of quotes for the cabinet product category, including preparation and follow-up.
• Monitor quote expirations, perform re-quotes, and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee the sales inbox ensuring prompt and professional customer inquiries responses.
• Track individual and team progress against sales targets and ensure timelines are met.
• Review sales activities to ensure proper outreach and follow-up standards.
• Review the sales pipeline to identify bottlenecks and move opportunities forward.
• Identify and resolve operational issues hindering sales team efficiency and data availability.
• Support team growth and development with an innovative approach.
