Job summary

Groove Tiles & Stone operates a premier Albion showroom in Brisbane and is seeking a Sales & Design Consultant to help clients discover tiles reflecting their style. The role centers on expert design advice, colour coordination, and turning client ideas into showroom-ready solutions.

You will engage with new and returning clients, present tile specs and quotes, and contribute to a high-end customer experience in-store.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales or customer-facing role
• Experience in home improvement, construction or retail preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport
• Excellent product knowledge and ability to offer expert guidance

At Groove Tiles & Stone, our Sales & Design Consultants are at the heart of the customer experience, helping clients discover tiles that reflect their personal style and bring their design visions to life. With showrooms located across Brisbane's City, Bayside and Gold Coast, we're looking for team members who thrive on challenges and understand the importance of building genuine relationships with clients.

This role is all about offering expert advice, assisting customers in colour coordination, and helping them create spaces that feel uniquely theirs. You'll engage proactively with both new and returning clients, providing tailored solutions and showcasing our premium range of tile and stone products with a strong focus on style, quality, and service.

This is a showroom-based role located at our premier Albion Showroom in Brisbane, working 5 days a week from Monday to Saturday.

What you'll be doing

Guiding clients through the design and selection process by offering expert advice on colours, layouts, product combinations, and design solutions to bring their vision to life

Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities by reaching out to potential customers

Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to help clients find the perfect products for their needs

Preparing and presenting tile specifications and sales quotes

Maintaining detailed records of all sales activities and customer interactions

Collaborating with the wider sales and marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies

Merchandising, creating and upkeeping a showroom that captivates clients with its visual appeal

What we're looking for

Proven track record of success in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably within the home improvement, construction or retail industry

General sales experience across any industry will be considered for this position

Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively negotiate with customers

Excellent product knowledge and the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers

Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

CRM system training will be provided by the company

A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets

Natural eye for design and colour coordination is essential for this role
