Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Perth, WA, Australia, is seeking a Sales Co-worker for a permanent, part-time role working 50 hours per fortnight. You will engage customers, share product knowledge and support sales targets in a fast-paced store environment.

Shifts start as early as 7:00am and run through to 9:30pm over a rotating roster, including weekends. Benefits include generous leave, staff discounts, and employee support programs.

Qualifications

  • Ability to engage and assist customers with product knowledge.
  • Friendly, approachable and customer-focused in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
  • Proactive in stocking, pricing and merchandising of sales area.
  • Physically capable of handling repetitive movement and light lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and assist customers, guiding them to products and services.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and KPIs with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain an attractive, well-merchandised and correctly priced sales area.
  • Assemble products per instructions to ensure complete functionality.
  • Collaborate with team and other departments to support a friendly work environment.

Additional Information
  • These roles are Permanent, Part‑time, 50hrs/fortnight
  • Applications close Friday 18 September 2026.
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts.
  • Shift times start from 7:00am and the latest closing time is 9:30pm.
  • You have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area

As a Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
  • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
  • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
  • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
As a Sales Co-worker you are or have:
  • Passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge of the IKEA range with customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on retail environment.
  • Customer‑focused and driven to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoy connecting with people.
  • An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self‑motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs.
  • A “Togetherness” mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools.
  • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
