Job summary

IKEA Australia is hiring a Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker. Join a team focused on helping customers, sharing product knowledge, and supporting purchases while maintaining quality and sustainability across our home furnishing range.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing knowledge on IKEA products and services to support purchasing decisions.
  • Present IKEA products in As-Is with strong commercial expression and pricing that attract customers while generating store results.
  • Take necessary actions to recover products (repackaging, etc.) and ensure saleable condition.
  • Assemble products according to instructions to ensure complete functionality.
  • Support quality work to improve customers' perception of IKEA products.
  • Promote sustainability impact in recovery decisions.
  • Foster strong relationships with team and other departments to ensure collaboration and compliance processes.
  • Maintain a safe store environment for customers and co-workers.

Additional Information:

  • These roles are Permanent, 40hrs/fortnight
  • The shift times required to work will be spread between 07:00am to 09:00pm.
  • Applications close Tuesday 15 September 2026
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area

As Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
  • Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store.
  • Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging them back into a saleable condition.
  • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
  • Support the quality work in the store to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products.
  • Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes.
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers.
As Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker you have
