Job summary

IKEA Logan City is seeking a Sales Co-worker to engage customers, advise on product needs, and help drive sales across the store. You’ll learn our product range, maintain an inviting sales floor, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service.

Roles are permanent and part‑time with a rotating roster, including weekends, and you’ll receive competitive benefits and staff perks as part of this team.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing knowledge on IKEA products and services to support purchasing decisions.
  • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
  • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; learning features and benefits.
  • Ensuring the sales area is stocked, presentable, merchandised and correctly priced.
  • Assembling products according to instructions to ensure functionality.
  • Building strong relationships with team and other departments to promote a collaborative environment.

Additional Information:

  • These roles are Permanent, part‑time, 40hrs/fortnight.
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening shifts 7 public holidays.
  • Shift times start from 8:00am and the latest closing time is 9:30pm.
  • You have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area

As a Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
  • Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
  • Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
  • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Who you are

As a Sales Co-worker you are or have:

  • Passionate about learning and sharing your knowledge of the IKEA range with customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.
  • Customer-focused and driven to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoy connecting with people.
  • An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self‑motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs.
  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA product range and tools.
  • A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive movements and lifting.
