Job summary

Wanless Waste Management is seeking a motivated Field Sales Representative to join our Western Sydney network and grow relationships with local businesses. You’ll be on the road building real, lasting client partnerships and learning about scrap metal recycling and sustainability. No experience?

Responsibilities

• Learn the ropes of sales from the Business Development Manager.
• Hit the road across Western Sydney to meet local businesses.
• Prospect, canvass and open new doors (calls and face-to-face).
• Learn about scrap metal, recycling and sustainability.
• Support sales activity with CRM updates and pipeline tracking.
• Attend client meetings and industry events; assist with quotes and proposals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Learning the ropes of sales directly from our Business Development Manager
• Getting out and about across Western Sydney, meeting local businesses
• Prospecting, canvassing and opening new doors (yes — calls and face-to-face)
• Learning all about scrap metal, recycling & sustainability
• Supporting sales activity through CRM updates and pipeline tracking
• Sitting in on client meetings and industry events
• Helping prepare quotes, proposals — and learning how to close the deal
• Researching competitors and market trends
• Working with internal teams to build tailored solutions for customers

You don’t need industry experience — we can teach that.

What we can’t teach is attitude.

• Confident, motivated and not afraid to have a go
• Comfortable talking to people in person and on the phone
• Hungry to learn, grow and build a long-term career
• Organised, reliable and well presented
• Resilient — you don’t give up after a “no”

You’ll also need:

• A valid driver’s licence & reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & D&A testing
• Waste / scrap metal experience is a bonus (but not required)
