Job summary

PPG’s Taubmans Trade Centre in Capalaba seeks a proactive Sales Assistant to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll welcome customers, assist with colour matching and tinting, and help manage orders and stock in a fast-paced trade and retail environment.

No paint experience required; full training will be provided. The role is based at Capalaba with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional Saturday shifts, offering a structured career path and product discounts across PPG brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontline customer service or retail environments is preferred.
• Ability to understand customer needs and provide friendly, expert service.
• Comfortable with physically active, hands-on work including lifting and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Build relationships with trade and retail customers.
• Tint and mix paint products to customer requirements.
• Support colour matching and product recommendations.
• Prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Assist with deliveries using the company vehicle when required.
• Help maintain stock levels, store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Support the Store Manager and wider team with day-to-day operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workplace.

We're looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Taubmans Trade Centre in Capalaba and become part of a team that takes pride in building genuine relationships and delivering great customer experiences every day.

No paint experience? No problem!

If you've worked in retail, hospitality, trade supply, customer service or another hands-on environment and enjoy helping people, we'll teach you everything else.

The setup

• Full-time permanent position (38 hours per week)
• Monday to Friday roster between 6:30am and 4:30pm
• Occasional Saturday shifts between 7:00am and 11:30am
• Based at our Capalaba Trade Centre
• Full product and systems training provided
