Job summary

Sandringham Yacht Club, located in Victoria, seeks an energetic Sailing Coordinator to support one of Australia’s leading sailing programs. You’ll work with the Sailing Manager and a team of staff and volunteers to coordinate keelboat and off-the-beach racing, regattas, Discover Sailing programs and major club events.

You’ll be hands-on, coordinating weekly racing, preparing race documents and results, assisting regattas and club events, and ensuring members have a seamless sailing experience.

Qualifications

• Strong interest or background in sailing or boating.
• Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills.
• Confidence working with volunteers and multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of race documentation and sailing operations (highly regarded).
• Comfortable with systems such as TopYacht, TES, Excel or similar (highly regarded).
• Physically capable for occasional on-water work.

• Managing entries, handicaps and publishing same-day results.

Love sailing, events and being at the heart of the action? Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) is looking for an energetic and organised Sailing Coordinator to help deliver one of Australia's leading sailing programs.

Working closely with the Sailing Manager and a passionate team of staff and volunteers, this role is central to the coordination of SYC's keelboat and off-the-beach (OTB) racing, regattas, Discover Sailing programs and major club events.

About the role

You'll be hands-on and highly visible, coordinating weekly racing, supporting race management teams, assisting on-water when required and ensuring members and volunteers have a seamless sailing experience. From preparing race documents and publishing results, to supporting regattas, presentations and key events, no two days will be the same.
