Job summary

Gosford Sailing Club invites a suitably qualified Sailing Administrator for a part-time role (up to 25 hours per week) to oversee the sailing program, racing activities and member services.

You will develop sailing programs, coordinate training, ensure compliance with Australian Sailing, assist in managing racing, and liaise with staff, volunteers and clubs to grow participation.

• Provide high quality sailing and training services to club members and guests.
• Develop Sailing Programs to encourage participation and ensure lead-time for competitors to attend.
• Ensure support staff and volunteers are trained to required standards.
• Produce a racing calendar to meet members' requirements and ensure compliance.
• Assist in the professional and efficient management of all racing.
• Communicate regularly with the club's sailing membership.
• Develop and implement a sound marketing and promotion structure for sailing and training operations.
• Monitor performance of sailing office staff and volunteers, providing feedback as required.
• Liaise with other departments on requirements for sailing events and develop team environments.
• Liaise with other sailing clubs/organisations to grow Gosford Sailing Club's sailing activities & regattas.

Job description

Gosford Sailing Club is looking to employ a suitably qualified part-time (up to 25hrs per week) Sailing Administrator . The position administers all parts of the club sailing program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high quality sailing and training services to club members and guests
• Develop Sailing Programs to encourage and foster participation in the sport of sailing at all levels and to ensure there is sufficient promotion and lead-time to enable competitors the opportunity to attend
• Ensure support staff and volunteers are trained to the required standards
• Produce a racing calendar to meet the members requirements and ensure Australian Sailing and Maritime compliance
• Assist in the professional and efficient management of all racing
• Communicate regularly with the clubs sailing membership
• Develop and implement a sound marketing and promotion structure for the club sailing and training operations
• Monitor performance of all sailing office staff and volunteers, providing corrective & motivational feedback as required
• Liaise with other departments on all requirements for sailing events and assist in developing the necessary team environment
• Liaise with other sailing clubs / organisations to maximise the growth of Gosford Sailing Club's sailing activities & regattas
