Job summary

Boom Logistics Limited in Singleton, NSW, is seeking an experienced Safety and Training Advisor to lead on-site HSEQ support, training delivery and competency development across operations and customer sites. The role involves travel, developing materials, and coaching site teams to uphold safety standards.

You will develop, deliver and review training, maintain records within our ISO framework and promote continuous improvement and behavioural safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in safety and training role.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in OHS/WHS.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team.
• Ability to develop site-specific operational procedures.
• Experience delivering classroom training programs.
• Capable of operating within ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and deliver training at BOOM and customer sites.
• Lead training development initiatives and mentor site trainers.
• Review and update training and assessment materials.
• Maintain training and competency records in ISO system.
• Provide daily HSEQ support, coaching and advice to site teams.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and client standards.
• Conduct site risk assessments, JHAs, SWMS reviews and observations.
• Support incident investigations using ICAM or similar.
• Monitor corrective actions through to close-out.
• Deliver toolbox talks and inductions and lead safety campaigns.
• Promote continual improvement and behavioural safety initiatives.

We are seeking an experiencedSafety and Training Advisor to join our team, based in Singleton, NSW. This fulltime role provides an opportunity to combine hands‑on HSEQ support with training and competency development across our operations and customer sites. Some interstate and national travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and deliver training, including training conducted at BOOM and customer sites.

Lead training development initiatives and provide guidance and mentoring to site‑based trainer/assessors.

Contribute to the development, review and updating of training and assessment materials.

Maintain training and competency records within BOOM’s structured ISO management system

Provide daily HSEQ support, coaching and advice to site teams.

Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client standards, and BOOM policies.

Conduct site risk assessments, JHAs, SWMS reviews, and task observations.

Support incident investigations using ICAM or equivalent methodology.

Monitor corrective actions through to completion and close‑out.

Deliver toolbox talks, HSEQ inductions, and targeted safety campaigns.

Promote continual improvement and behavioural safety initiatives.

Actively contribute to the company’s culture of systematic continuous improvement.

About You / Requirements

A minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar safety and training role.

Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or current equivalent).

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.

Proven ability to develop, implement & review standard work procedures for site‑specific operational tasks.

Can effectively deliver and present classroom‑based training programs to site‑based personnel.

Must be capable of operating within ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word.

Demonstrated use of safety database systems.

Proven track record in effective management of site‑based safety & training.

National Police Clearance.

Must have the right to work in Australia.

Current and Valid Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
