Job summary

Intro Recruitment Solutions in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee WHS, QA and environmental systems on high-end Class 2 residential projects.

You will conduct site inspections, lead safety walks, review SWMS and risk assessments, and provide practical WHS support to site teams across NSW and QLD.

The role offers a competitive salary ($110K-$130K) plus super, with strong leadership and clear career progression into WHS management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Safety Officer, WHS Officer, WHS Coordinator or Safety Advisor.
• Construction experience, ideally within Class 2 residential or commercial projects.
• Relevant WHS qualification such as Cert IV WHS or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and construction practices.
• Experience with SWMS, risk assessments, inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of WHS, quality and environmental systems across projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety walks and audits.
• Review SWMS, risk assessments and project documentation.
• Provide WHS support and advice to site teams and subcontractors.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and project requirements.
• Assist with WHS reporting, documentation and system administration.
• Identify potential risks and assist with implementing practical solutions.
