Bulla Dairy Foods is seeking a Full-Time Safety Lead to join our Operations Team. This role goes beyond compliance; it focuses on partnering with site leaders to identify hazards, assess risk and implement practical safety improvements across our Victorian site.

You will coach leaders, engage frontline teams, and ensure investigations drive systemic learning. If you have 3+ years in FMCG safety, a Diploma in OHS, and a people-centered approach, this is your opportunity to help protect our people

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar role in a manufacturing/FMCG setting.
• Strong working knowledge of Victorian OHS requirements and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated leader coaching capability.
• Strong operational credibility and practical problem-solving orientation.

Responsabilités

• Provide practical, risk-based safety advice to site leaders and frontline leadership.
• Coach leaders to understand and fulfil safety responsibilities.
• Support identification, assessment and control of operational safety risks.
• Challenge practices where safety risk is not managed effectively.
• Support site safety improvement priorities and plans.
• Facilitate effective consultation with employees and Health and Safety Representatives.
• Maintain visibility across operations and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
• Manage contractors and other parties at the site.
• Ensure investigations identify underlying and systemic contributors.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Safety Lead to join our Operations Team.
At Bulla, we don't see safety as something owned by the Safety team. We believe the most effective safety outcomes are achieved when leaders and employees are actively engaged in identifying hazards, understanding risk and developing practical solutions together.

This role is much more than compliance, audits and systems. It is about building relationships, understanding work as it is performed and helping create an environment where safety conversations are open, constructive and solution focused.

What's the Scoop?

• Provide practical, credible and risk-based safety advice to site leaders and frontline leadership.
• Coach leaders to understand and fulfil their safety responsibilities.
• Support the identification, assessment and effective control of operational safety risks.
• Challenge practices or decisions where safety risk is not being effectively managed.
• Support the development and delivery of site safety improvement priorities and plans.
• Facilitate effective consultation and engagement with employees and Health and Safety Representatives.
• Maintain visibility across operations and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
• Support effective management of contractors and other parties undertaking work at the site.
• Facilitate and ensure investigations move beyond immediate causes to identify underlying and systemic contributors.
• Support implementation of company safety standards and minimum requirements.
• Monitor the effectiveness of key safety processes and controls.
• Ensure incidents are investigated, documented and resolved in a timely manner.
  

What You’ll Bring:
We are looking for someone who has:

• 3+ years in a similar role
• Strong FMCG / manufacturing experience
• Diploma in OHS or a similar discipline
• Strong working knowledge of Victorian occupational health and safety requirements and contemporary risk management practices
• Demonstrated leader coaching capability
• Strong operational credibility
