Job summary

Bulla Dairy Foods is hiring Casual Forklift Operators in Colac to support our Operations team on a rotating roster. You will transport materials, operate RF scanners, and assist with stock handling from storage to processing areas.

This role offers timely shifts across mornings, afternoons, and nights with competitive hourly pay and penalties on certain shifts. Applicants must hold a current LF Forklift Licence and have at least two years of forklift driving experience, along with strong

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
• Obtain and follow daily work instructions.
• Move materials between processes, including freezers and cool rooms.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and conduct daily stock counts.
• Unload and load product vans as needed.
• Handle chemical storage and movements around site; waste disposal.

We currently have exciting opportunities for Casual Forklift Operators to join our Operations team. Reporting into the Production Lead, you will be responsible for the collection and transportation of raw materials, packaging and finished products from suppliers, storage and delivery facilities at our Hearn Street site in Colac.

Hours (rotating roster):

Successful applicants will be required to work on a rotating roster across multiple days and shift times including.

• Morning 6am-2pm
• Afternoon 2pm-10pm

Pay:

• Rates from $37 per hour
• Additional penalty rates and allowances including 15% loading for the afternoon shift and 30% loading for the overnight shift apply!

What's the Scoop?

• Forklift operation
• Obtain and complete daily work instructions
• Collect and move materials and products to, between and from processes including transporting to freezers / cool rooms, transporting materials from storage facilities and collecting materials from suppliers
• Use RF scanners to scan and track inventory accurately
• Recording daily stock counts
• Unload and loading of product vans
• Chemical storage and movements around site
• Waste collection and disposal

What You’ll Bring:

To be successful within this role you must hold a current LF Forklift Licence, and have 2 years previous Forklift Driving experience, ideally within a similar environment.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to comply with all standards in relation to Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Hygiene, Quality Assurance and Conduct.
• Reliable & hard-working
• Working in a team environment
• Previous warehousing experience is desirable but not essential
