K&S Freighters in Berrimah, NT, AU, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the Berrimah NT operation, leading a fast-paced team focused on safety and on-time freight delivery.

You will drive operational excellence across general freight and contract logistics, manage fleet performance and customer relationships, and lead budgeting and KPI achievement in a role that values safety and continuous improvement. This is a full-time on-site position in Australia’s Northern Territory.

• Proven ability to lead large operational teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibility for the Berrimah NT operation.
• Lead the team across general freight and contract logistics operations.
• Drive a culture where safety is embedded in everything we do: Everybody Safe Every Day.
• Manage fleet performance, scheduling, utilization and efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while strengthening long-term client relationships.
• Lead financial performance, budgets, KPIs and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation, Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management.
• Recruit, coach and develop talented operational teams.
• Lead incident investigations, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
