Job summary

Deacon Recruitment is partnering with a leading Queensland residential developer/builder to recruit a WHS Advisor for a Southside Brisbane location. The role focuses on ensuring safety across residential building sites and contributing to a strong safety culture.

The successful candidate will provide WHS guidance to construction teams, review subcontractor WHS documentation for compliance, undertake site inspections, investigations, and manage WHS data in systems, with participation in toolbox

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a WHS Officer/Advisor role in building.
• Residential building experience preferred.
• Ability to review subcontractor WHS documentation and undertake site inspections.

Responsibilities

About the Position:

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an additional WHS Advisor to join the team in a Southside Brisbane area.

Reporting to the WHS Manager you will be responsible for:

Provide WHS guidance to construction teams

Review subcontractor WHS documentation to ensure compliance

Undertake WHS site inspections on residential building sites

Undertake incident investigations and document reports

Management of registers, data and other information in WHS systems

Participate in toolbox talks and subcontractor / supplier meetings

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

Minimum 2 years experience in a WHS Officer / Advisor role in building

Residential building industry experience preferred
