Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Planner to join the national Safeguarding Advisory Team. The role focuses on safeguarding advice, risk assessment, and intervention support for participants with disability. Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to coordinate safeguarding activities and improve practices.

The position offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, a January start, and a pathway for potential extension within a federal government context.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex case management, safeguarding, or risk environments.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Stakeholder engagement and sensitive conversations.
• Experience interpreting legislation and policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks in complex participant cases and provide safeguarding advice.
• Deliver written and verbal safeguarding guidance to staff.
• Facilitate discussions for safeguarding decisions.
• Coordinate urgent short-term safeguarding interventions with participants.
• Liaise with external agencies and authorities on safeguarding responses.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Support quality improvement and document management.
