Job summary

The Lucas Group Pty Ltd is partnering with an Australian AgTech business to hire a capable Business Development Manager for the South Australia market. You will own the SA strategy, nurture existing customers, and pursue new commercial opportunities to drive revenue.

This hands-on sales role emphasizes field activity, relationship-building, pipeline development and closing deals across SA. Autonomy, strong earning potential, and adaptability are key.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' sales/BD experience in irrigation, water, rural merchandise, animal health or related industries.
• Experience selling through irrigation channels or agribusiness networks.
• Proven ability to prospect, build relationships and close sales.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and close new business opportunities across SA.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses and industry stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with industry associations, distributors and channel partners.
• Represent the business at agricultural events, field days, forums and networking opportunities.
• Present technology solutions to prospective customers and industry groups.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM.
• Travel throughout the region to meet customers and develop new opportunities.
