Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management is seeking a Business Development Manager for the eShepherd product range in Australia. The role focuses on hunting new opportunities, building a strong pipeline and converting interest into revenue.

You will work with sales, customer success, marketing and regional teams to target farmers, producers and distributors, tailoring the value proposition and driving growth across the country.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development and new business sales.
• Track record of prospecting, building pipeline and closing opportunities.
• Experience in agriculture, AgTech, livestock or related industry.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence managing proposals, tenders and commercial discussions.
• CRM discipline and sales forecasting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying, targeting and converting high-value opportunities.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from first contact to close.
• Develop trusted relationships with farmers, producers, partners and distributors.
• Understand customer needs and position the value of eShepherd accordingly.
• Lead or support tenders, proposals and distribution agreements.
• Use CRM and reporting tools to manage activity and forecast pipeline.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for onboarding and upsell opportunities.
• Share market insights to support product messaging and regional growth.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors and market trends to identify opportunities.
