Job summary

Geelong Careers is seeking a client services support officer to provide essential services at Western Plains Correctional Centre.

You will support people in custody, visitors and staff while keeping services safe, accurate and timely.

This ongoing, full-time role covers mail, property, finance, transport and customer service, with the chance to rotate through different service areas and gain valuable experience in a modern correctional setting.

Qualifications

• No specific qualification is required; knowledge of laws, policies, procedures and regulations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate prisoner property records, stores and prisoner finance records.
• Deliver mail and support safe, secure property processes.
• Coordinate internal transport and deliver nominated items across the prison.
• Provide helpful customer service to visitors, staff and people in custody.
• Process accounts, update records and collect information for basic reports.
