Job summary

Carrington Care in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Rostering Coordinator to efficiently allocate around 450 staff across four onsite residential aged care facilities operating 24/7. You will develop and manage rosters, ensure adequate coverage for resident care, and be the first contact for roster and attendance issues.

This full-time role offers standard hours Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, with base salary, leave loading, superannuation and not-for-profit salary packaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years rostering and scheduling experience with shift work.
• Experience with Enterprise Agreements and interpreting shift rules.
• Experience in rostering to staffing level KPIs.
• Experience negotiating permanent rosters and flexible arrangements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing staffing needs with attention to detail.
• Right to work in Australia and willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Check.
• Healthcare experience, ideally in Aged Care.
• Working knowledge of rostering software such as UKG Ready or Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Roster forecasting, including coverage for planned leave, training and peak staffing periods.
• Ensure rosters meet required staffing levels for mandatory care minutes and budget tracking.
• Address and resolve issues related to rostering such as scheduling conflicts, staff shortages or unexpected absences.
• Managing difficult and sensitive rostering situations and staffing issues.
• Meet regularly with key management stakeholders to understand workforce needs and challenges.
